Beginners Adobe Audition Course

What you will learn

In this Beginners Adobe Audition course, you will learn how to use the software to import, edit, correct and output any audio files to suit your every need. We'll look at workspaces, workflows, audio in its various formats and what it consists of (bit rates, sampling and quality settings.) We'll use Audition's waveform editor to cut, edit, rearrange audio, remove mistakes, and create a more professional-sounding project. Effects are covered too, adjusting levels and adding processing effects to create the kind of feel and tone we require.

You'll learn how to remove background noise and fix problems, using a feature called the 'Spectrogram' to edit the audio based on frequency. The 'Spectrogram' allows us to 'paint out' mistakes that would otherwise mean a re-record. Audition's sequencing capabilities are included, for organising audio into 'tracks' allowing us to re-organise and re-mix multiple audio files. We also add effects to these and create a final mixed down project, before finally turning it into any finished audio format required.

Then we'll cover setting up customised workspaces, so the tools and features you need to use regularly are just one click away. Customisable workspaces are great for teams or families, as you'll learn how to create multiple different workspaces that you can save for each user.

We also dedicate a portion of day two for you to ask us real-life questions, so you gain knowledge of doing something with the software relevant to you. This course is ideal for those new to Audition, and at its completion, you will be able to edit audio for use in video, podcasts and voiceovers. For the full technical breakdown, please see further down the page.

Finally, we offer six months of email support on all of our courses. If you get stuck on something (as long as it's in your course outline), drop us an email, and your trainer will get back to you with a solution.

About the town...

Twickenham is of course famous for its stadium, home to the England national rugby team. But it is also a town that sits on a beautiful stretch of the River Thames, between Richmond and Kingston.

There are many bars, restaurants and pubs in the area providing Twickenham with a very lively night life. Some of the pubs are literally on the banks of the Thames, with two of the Royal Parks, (Richmond and Bushy) also located in fairly close proximity. Eel Pie Island, home to some very famous creatives, is also in the area and accessible via a footbridge across the river.
